What is Sylfirm X?
Sylfirm X is also known as Gold Plated Micro-needling with Radiofrequency (RF) and it is the first FDA approved RF micro-needling treatment that uses dual wave (combination of Continuous – Wave (CW) and Pulsed – Wave (PW). The purpose of micro-needle is to puncture through the outermost layer of the skin and RF will deliver heat energy to stimulate collagen production for skin firming and tightening via NA Effect!
What is NA Effect?
Sylfirm X is able to deliver the heat energy to the deeper layers of the skin starting from 0.3mm to 4.0mm depth while protecting the surface of the skin from the heat energy and causing less discomfort during the treatment.
Why the need for a dual wave in Sylfirm X?
Continuous wave ( CW ) of the RF energy will cause the skin tissue to coagulate non – selectively around the microneedles and increase the surrounding tissue temperature to above 60°C. This temperature will cause protein denaturation and kickstart tissue remodeling.
Pulsed Wave (PW) of the RF energy will release into the skin in the form of multiple pulses, which increase the temperature gradually between 42 – 45°C. This gradual temperature increment will cause protein structural changes within skin and make it excellent treatment for pigmented and vascular problems such as melasma and rosacea.
