Rejuran | Why Choose This Treatment at Kaiteki Clinic?

While you might have heard your friends or influencers rave about this most sought after Korean Glass Skin Rejuran treatment, it is not uncommon to hear about the different outcomes of Rejuran treatment. Have you ever wondered why your friend’s Rejuran treatment is more effective than yours?

I have come across patients who shared about their previous Rejuran experiences and they didnt find the results worthwhile while others gave excellent feedback on the results of Rejuran. What exactly is happening? Before we go into the possible reasons that could lead to varying results done by different professionals – let’s get to know about Rejuran treatment in summary.

Rejuran contains salmon DNA fragments ( we call them polynucleotides in medical term) and it is proven that Salmon DNA is very similar to human DNA. Therefore, salmon DNA is very safe and compatible in the human body without causing any adverse side effects.

How does it work?

In short, Rejuran contains very expensive and precious essence in it. In my practice, I do pick Rejuran over PRP most of the times because it produces consistent results. However, why do some results still vary from the others? That boils down to the doctor’s technique of injection and patient selection. As attractive as it may sound, there is a small group of people who might not be the best candidates for rejuran treatment, such as:

  • those who are allergic to salmon
  • those with active infected acne – you might want to treat the infection first before introducing a needle
  • those who are on blood thinners such as warfarin should take caution as they are prone to bleeding and bruising.

When it comes to technique, Freehand manual serial injection technique is the gold standard of delivering rejuran. Also, it has to be specifically injected into the dermis layer of the skin. As you can see from the illustration above, dermis layer is where our collagen and elastin sit.

If you have had mesogun or an injectable gun delivering your rejuran essence into your skin, it is most likely to yield less effective results as it is not penetrating into the dermis layer accurately.

To me, the manual injection offers more precision & accuracy. I have the control and freedom to decide which layers to inject the product into that yields most optimum results. It also helps to reduce trauma, bruising and of course, the last thing you want is wastage of this expensive product from leakage by using an injector gun.

To ensure that my patients understand the choice of my technique, I often explain in detail during my consultation. And of course, with injections – there is a certain level of pain tolerance required. Apart from applying topical numb cream, we also use a vibrating tool to distract patient’s from the discomfort. It only takes 5-10 minutes to complete a full face treatment.

In my practice, I also administer a healing LED Infrared Yellow Light after the serial injections to calm the skin down. It also helps to reduce redness and swelling (if any).

To yield the full benefits of Rejuran Healer treatment, I usually encourage my patients to go for a 3-4 sessions skin healing program, 1 month apart – for more long lasting and optimum results. However, the treatment protocol may differ according to different skin conditions/skin type.
