What Is A Non-Surgical Double Eyelid Suture Technique?
A non-surgical double eyelid suture technique is a non-incisional method of creating double eyelid with surgical sutures. This technique is also referred as DST – double suture and twist technique, invented in 2001 by Dr.Akihiro Minami, a famous plastic surgeon in Japan. This technique can be done under local anesthesia, and the entire procedure can be performed in less than an hour.
How is the procedure done?
Before the procedure, the doctor will assess the eyes carefully and discuss with client on the desire height and shape of the eyelid crease. Then, markings will be done on the eyelid skin, this will help the doctor during the procedure. Once the area is appropriately marked, local anesthesia will be given to numb the eyelids.
