Introduction

First and foremost, don’t get me wrong. Dermal fillers are my favourite aesthetic procedure. Through a tiny needle, doctors can do wonders with this ‘magic gel’ that restores volume & refines line.  𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚, 𝙜𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜.

Let’s start with zooming into specific areas and identifying the giveaways of being overfilled 🙈 (Disclaimer : here to educate for sharing purposes, not to make fun of anyone or create hate).

The Puffy Pillow Face

The puffy pillow face used to be called as the Hollywood syndrome. No doubt fuller cheeks make you look younger but overly puffed up cheeks give you an overstuffed pillow appearance and sunset eyes ( eyes squished and end up looking smaller). It’s not sexy

The Duck Lips

You know this one. Lips are one of the most common areas where fillers tend to go overboard, leading to  over-plumped lips. This can also happen if you receive the wrong range of filler or if you fall into the wrong hands. You can avoid this by making sure that you only see a trained and experienced injector.

The Avatar Nose

Considering the nose bridge is a confined area with limited space, fillers tend to spread sideways overtime, resulting in a broader nose. When it comes to liquid nose job, 𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆.

The Flowerhorn Forehead

Nothing screams ‘𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌, 𝑰’𝒗𝒆 𝒈𝒐𝒕 𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒆!’ more than an overfilled forehead (or often times, a witch-chin too) While it is nice to enhance our facial features using dermal fillers, be sure to respect the original contour.

Final Words

It is important to talk to your aesthetic doctor about your expectations and budget before going for any facial contouring procedures. Underfilling with fillers may end up with unsatisfied outcome whilst overfilling it can be disastrous.

At Kaiteki, we have qualified trained injectors with extensive experience to administer the treatment.
